i'd say Nvidia 2060 6GB is a good start but buy an ideal GPU for the job , i have for example GeForce RTX 3060 Graphics Cards 12GB GDDR6 is good for 60fps 4K UHD 4:2:2
and not struggle with any gaming Emulators which is good bonus , i sadly paid €1,100 for mine during lock down
but they now go for just below £300 now which is crazy ....and the Nvidia 4000 series is + €1,000 . lol's

Good time now to buy since Crypto mining is basically totally dead and a worthless hobby .
good luck : )

Agreed, the increase in energy prices has made crypto mining unviable unless the miner is some type of scammer who has wangled free juice.
Second user NVIDIA 3090 cards that were selling close to £2000 a year and a half ago are now selling for less than £600. At the peak of the crypto mining, the scalpers were selling cards for well over list price.

It is not only the card model that needs to be considered, the individual manufacturers within a card model can offer higher/lower specs.
For example, the MSI Suprim X series of cards are generally one of the best performing cards within a model range compared to other offerings.
