also in updating the abra card what do the two abbreviations KV and SV stand for ?

ATR = answer to reset.
reset what ?
the receiver resets the smartcard. the smartcard answers
it is called Answer To Reset. the action is the resetting
of the card, the reaction is the Answer.
it's those funny characters :
3B 0E 14 29 etc....
that you read when you choose smartcard from your receiver's
menu.
these funny characters help the receiver in identifying the
card and displays " Abracadabra detected " etc...
