hi lads, bought a new vu solo, not a clone,
i had a prob with not booting, stuck on red light,
emailed the shop where i bought it, they sent me a new inside,
a new plate or board,
put new board into box, turned on solo, got green light again,
but nothing else, since it was new board. i put cfe into solo and then vu+ image, every thing went ok, green light flashing, turned power off, removed usb, turned power back on, left for few mins, still nothing coming on, cheaked cables, they are ok,

if some knows, did i leave anything out, why is the solo not coming on?
thanks.

re flashing

Hi mate

Not knowing your experience with these receivers i maybe going over stuff you know

ok to flash
prep a usb stick fats32
on that stick make a folder called vuplus then inside that folder make another one called solo.
Inside the solo folder should go your image files
pressing the reset button at the rear of the stb hold in and insert the usb stick in the front port then release the button
now you should see neon light turn amber/red to red then back amber/red then red again ending up flashing green this means the image as loaded ok
now press the reset button in again and remove the usb count to 10 then release the button, the stb should now start to boot up the setup screen so have your television connected to hdmi/scart.
if all has gone well you should see a onscreen logo of the image then simply follow the on screen instructions.

Im surprised the dealer sent you a motherboard and not asked to replace the receiver... how sure are you this is not a clone if you do a google see if yours looks like the original or clone by the box or the motherboard inside , plenty of data about this your find.

also maybe try different image blackhole vix original vu but also as mentioned try another usb stick incase the one u have does not load the image, again plenty of data on google of good/bad sticks

come back with your results if you need more help
