I have just bought a Coolstream neo hd1 and after updating the image online to new version 1.9 all the channels were gone, also the mgcamd, Oscam, etc can not be started, only red off in menu.
Are there any easy way to get the emu back in service?
Also have scanned the satellite Thor 0.8 dgr, so I have got the channels back.
Are there any chance that any emu will open any channels on Thor?
Have updated the key online, but can not open any emu as mentioned.

The easiest way is to make a folder in /var, name it emu and put oscam in there.
To start oscam put this in /var/etc/rc.local: /var/emu/oscam & and restart.

No emu clear anything on Thor.

if you have a NG 1.9
placed on clear channel

press menu on remote control

you can start oscam or mgcamd on menù 1
(NG-Image Setting)
2(camd-setting ) and click on the emucam you want, it will go from OFF to ON.

then, in the same menu, and always on the channel clear

Click 1 (camd restart)

waiting for the answer

and after waiting a minute and then switch on channel cripted.

ABOUT files:
EMU:into /var/bin

configuration:into /var/tuxbox/config

to start oscam or any camd :

scripts are already included in the image
emu and restart should be done as I said above!

Ps: if you wont:there also a update online to 1.91 , only for NG1.9

only the last thing is right:D:D:D
this is a modded image all ready:D

and also the paths are completely different:rolleyes::D

Thank You for reply.
I am learning to use the Coolstream and have looked at some German fora, but long time since I learned German so it is not always easy.
I went from a Nanoxx, this was no longer supported by the nano team.
So I bought a Coolstream.

When I use Camd settings menu and try to turn them on the letters are in orange saying "off" for each of the five camds, mgcamd, oscam, newcs, gbox and cs2gbox.
Cursor jumps to show versions and no versions are shown.
Strange as on the ver 1.8 all the camds seemed to be ok.

I have seen somewhere that I should connect with ftp and change the rights to 755 for the camd files, so I will try this also.

Also the channel list was gone after update to 1.9, so I had to scan the sat again. Antenna is only fixed on Thor, I will try to mount a new flat 440 antenna with motor.

Any easy way to save the channel list? And can I get the original list back, as it was channels for several satellites.

If I load the updated version 1.91, will the channel list disappear?

the updated 1.91,that is only a little partial update....,
leaves intact all of your settings including the channel list)

for all your settings, including channel list,

you can save, whith Filezilla, or other FTP, the folder ""config"".

in /var/tuxbox/

or save only the "zapit"

in var/tuxbox/config (only channel list )

and then reinsert.(i prefear this mode:))

OR
in menù-manage setting.....see:D you can save yur setting and backup and load it.

For the camd/emu you have to do 755 in /var/bin (if in /var/bin there are files.. mgcamd, oscam, newcs, gbox ...).

tell me if, in that path, there are those camd.!!
if yes.....

I am attaching a screenshot of how it should be a camd active, in menu

(bearing in mind that I only use oscam dvbapi;
I left only the MGCamd and I deleted the other emu).

Important:
IN 3 "neutrino customization"

active ca_system no use CI please.
(after change ,save and then restart the box)

The var/bin directory is empty.
Perhaps I did a mistake when updating, the camd`s were on, I saw somewhere that the camd`s should be off.
If the camd`s should be in var/bin can I load the ver 1.9 again or do I have to copy them to the bin directory ?

I have copied new mgcamd 1.35c into var/bin, that previously was empty, and chmod 755, so now I can turn the mgcamd "on".
So I have to copy the other camd`s also to /bin also ?

But do I need other files also for each camd ?
I have seen mg.cfg, ignore.list, iplace.list, priority.list, cccam.list, newcamd.list, do they go in var/bin ?

every camd in var /bin
for mgcamd:
mg_cfg in var keys
and you have to set it, about your needs(and in particular it is important to set the paragraph G, depending on your needs.

with MGCamd you can get to be client, to act as a server cccam

for this you must create your own unique txt file, and rename cccamd.list (into var/keys)

newcamd.list also be set, if you use a card with MGCamd.

With oscam you can do almost anything (with only oscam.dvbapi)

and you need at least these files:

oscam.server, oscam.conf, oscam.user,oscam.dvbapi in var/tuxbox/config
and chmod 755,are ok:D

I have got the Oscam and Mgcamd back in var/bin and they turnes on.
But since every files for configs etc. are gone, are there anywhere
I can find all files and direction where to install them?
I have found a few zip files for Oscam and Mgcam, but do I need all of them?

Could I flash the version 1.8 back where the emus etc were originally and then copy settings and the emu configs etc?

The configuration files you need depends on what you do.

must be customized as needed.

ciao:)

Thank You.

I do not excactly know what is needed, I have got the box only for two weeks. Dish is at Thor atm. But will add a motor so I will watch on Astra, Hotbird etc.
On the NanoXX I had before shutdown of support, we used Newcamd and ip address for free, is the Oscam and Mgcamd like this ?

I see that a "Reloaded" SVN1953 version contains Oscam and Mgcamd, do You think it is better than NG version 1.9 ?
If I can flash Reloaded instead I get all working with Flash assistant?

Or could You send me an instruction or zip so the Oscam and Mgcamd does everything, que?
C and N lines I know are for cs, are there any free ride here?

^^Reload^^ and NG are very similar.
i think you can left the NG 1.9
But if you flash to Reload
is recommended that you first walk through the original image
In order to minimize risks.

for camd:
you can use the same camd
but remember that the oscam.dvbapi, already in itself, is capable of simulating many other camd, newcamd, cccam
etcetera.

A careful reading of the documentation (into oscam.rar ) that will explain exactly what it does and how.
And for every question or problem I will try to help wherever possible.

for update img onlinee, (Menù-3Service-Software Update-Search for new version) you can use this file update.urls (unpacked)

that contains all the img of all various teams, original and also moddedd.current and old
(I advise you: NOT to use the ^^reload^^BETA)

put it in /var/etc and cmod755

The last Oscam-SVN6240-arm-coolstream.rar have different files in it.
Is the Oscam-SVN6240 file in the set the same as Oscam.dvbapi and goes into var/bin ?
And where does the other files go?
I can as said start the oscam in menu after loaded it to var/bin, but
I have not loaded other files.

Is the Mgcamd an emulator for the keys that can be updated online ?

I wish to open channels on Thor, and know emu/keys are not available, think the conax has not been engineered.
But the cs in Oscam perhaps does?

1)please read my previous post, because I already told you which files are essential and where they put.

summarize:)

2)Oscam-SVN6240-arm-coolstream : you have to rename it as "oscam" and put it in var/bin (chmod 755 or 777)

3)all other configuration files are also located in var / tuxbox / config (chmod644)
an important file that you must enter, and usually did not find ,is oscam.dvbapi
This file allows the operation of oscam alone...
that will work for any purpose:rolleyes:;)
yes also cs, server and client incluse:)
and if configured properly, nothing else needs.

3)The MGCamd, instead it only as a client.

I am forgotten something?:)
bye:)

Thank You for the reply.
I have copied the camd files so they can be started (on) in menu.
But no config files yet, I have no cards or cs.

Question:
1. Can the Oscam be used alone with the keys updated online to open whatever channels possible?

2. Where can I find the oscam.dvbapi, and is it put in var/etc instead of oscam file, or is it a config file to go in tuxbox/config directory ?

If you will not have a card or/and even cs ..
. I do not know how to open the Conax

question reply:
1) mmmm NO, for what is much better to use the MGCamd (all config files in var/keys)

2) oscam.dvbapi it is a config file to be put in var / tuxbox/config

Hello. Took awhile, but I have got the box working. Have also updated to NG Return v2.20. Got a test cs connection and it works with mgcamd. The information I get contain a keepalive and a connect_timeout values. But mgcamd will only work without them, so I must only use the cws = ip. port, etc in newcamd setting.
Is this correct?
Mgcamd is very stable, but can the Oscam be used with the data for mgcamd ?

I have tested the mgcamd with cws: and it works without freeze.
But have tested c line (cccam) with mgcamd and oscam but some channels freeze a little and other often.
The mgcamd and oscam are activated. I think the mgcamd is the motor for the oscam C: line. I have G 32 and P 02 in mg.conf and entered the c line data in oscam.server.
If I can use only oscam for the c line, what do I put in the
oscam.dvbapi that I understand is needed to run oscam without mgcamd.
I have found one oscam.dvbapi with some examples, but it does not
say me much.
If I disabled oscam with G 01 in mg.conf the c lines did not work.
