Hi,
I need a bit of support. I have a satellite receiver Chinese made type Class HD, HD9000X USB. The receiver is obviously on a Linux platform because there is some sort of a CS software in it. Same can be updated through the USB port using type of a nxprom file.
Can someone give a feedback what type of receiver it is and which nxprom files to be used?
Thank you in advance!

dose it say HD9000X pvr ready on the front?

It could be one of the iclass models

Also HD9000 it a popular model number for Cuberevo STE chipset OEM models...
There is also a OEM nfusion model with HD9000X if it said Nfusion on it then its this model..

google images is a good way to figure out the model you have....

Receiver

Hi,
Thank you for the info. It actually says many things on the front: PIP system, PVR ready, Dolby Digital, 7 days EPG, full color OSD, DVB-S/DVB-S2 compliant, USB 2.0 interface, software (data, kernel and file system) upgrade through USB or Ethernet, etc. Unfortunately no picture available in Google images.
There are lot of things written in the book, except the manufacturer :), which is not surprising for Chinese producers. Managed to find one more thing - the update file is named nxprom.bin, but where to find it is a mystery yet...
Would be happy if someone can help more.
Thank you in advance!

It is not a Linux Receiver.

This could be the OpenSky HD9000X.

Must be a Ali chip based receiver like the Globo/Opticum (X403p/X402p) range.

The Firmware is with .abs so I guess it's with a cheap ALI3602 chip.

Look here
And here you have the loader program

Receiver

Hi,
Thank you for the advice. Unfortunately none of those files is matching to the file, which I already have and mentioned above. You know very well that "blind" experiments with flash memory are not quite recommendable because in 99% of the cases are ending up in a disaster...
Would be glad if you can give some more feedback or advice where to read.
Thank you anyway! :thum:

Edision Argus hdtv family appeared in Opticum HD X403P

Hi
I installed one the Alis on Edision Argus appeared in opticum HD x403p. The box no longer display features like menus and does not work with the opticum remote. How I can remove this and resort back to the original opticum? It doesn not accept usb or RS 232 upgrade too. Thanks.
