Hello

Using CSA Rainbow Table Tool V1.x I'm trying to obtain crypt8 from 2 minute TS file (with **** data), but unable to find.

I've tried leave PID, Pl size and file limit blank, and also tried with PID, but here is the only message I receive...

Using PID: 512
Using payload size: 184
Using file limit: 4096 MByte
File length: 305MByte
UsingFileLen: 320724992 bytes
Reading file ...
Searching ...
Time for searching Crypt8 = 0 sec.

Where am I going wrong please?

You need a bigger (longer) ts file for the tool to obtain the crypt8. 5 minutes minimum

Thank you but I'm tried with 5 and 10 mins, but still nothing. Is the PID needed?

Perhaps the problem is the recording. I'm using AZBox OpenRSI. Others have confirmed this does record full data. When I record, it provides three files...

instant record.ts
instant record.ts.cuts
instant record.ts.****

Any ideas?

CRYPT8

If it happens only for 1 particular feed, maybe it's Tandberg , not BISS.
Maybe you have entered a wrong biss CW for this (without realizing) and now you're trying to record it.

No idea if the azbox records the encrypted pids.

You don't need to add the pid, the tool will dispaly all pids it sees in the data, but you will need to know the pid if it displays more than 1 encrypted pid

It's BISS, all feeds I've recorded are confirmed open with key, which I recorded before entering key. I made recorded before hand so I could test to see if I could find the correct key myself.

Running OpenRSI which is said to be able to record full data from feeds. Can someone with AZBOX running OpenRSI confirm this as this could be the route of problem.

I take it you guys are recording with a PCI card? If so, do you have the three output files as mentioned above?

Can someone PM me a confirmed working TS along with key to test please.

I record with transedit. Output is one single ts file. Progdvb and dvbdream the same

I get same type of problem with dvbdream, recorded 20 minute ts file using dvbdream tswriter2 module with tbs6925 card and no crypt8?

Using all PIDs
Using payload size: 184
Using file limit: 4096 MByte
File length: 802 MByte
UsingFileLen: 841483300 bytes
Reading file ...
Searching ...
Time for searching Crypt8 = 2 sec.

Just installed ProgDVB v6.61 (the good one for encrypted?) standard edition 32bit and recorded 20 minute ts using PID Recorder and get same thing, no Crypt8?

Using file limit: 4096 MByte
File length: 720 MByte

Make the plugins such as vPlug not active because when they are active, there are errors in files.....and it's better to use old versions of ProgDVB.

I have not installed vplug in my dvbdream or ProgDVB setup so the failure to find a Crypt8 is definitely not because of vplug.

I am using ProgDVB v6.61 which is the last one before the PID Recorder stopped being OK for scrambled streams. is there an earlier version that might be better? I am using the 32bit Standard version of v6.61

And no cardsharing plugins such as ACAMD,WinCSC,Hadu...?

Try ProgDVB6.49.3Std.

No plugins in either dvbdream or ProgDVB. Both programs are clean installs without plugins.

Thank you for the suggestion to try ProgDVB 6.49.3Std, I don't suppose you have a link to a download? I just checked the ProgDVB website and it is not one of the historic versions available for download.

One important question,...

Have you tested the files you recorded by CWFinder?

If there are errors found by CWFinder, that means ts files recorded aren't ok.

And if there are ok when used by CWFinder, that means recording is ok but CSA Tool not ok on your pc..

No, I have not tested the ts files with CWFinder, my A/V software removes the CWFinder.exe file indicating it is an Artemis Trojan. To open CWFinder I need to deactivate the A/V software which I am reluctant to do.

Would you please be able to let me know what card are you using for recording? I have tried with TBS6925 card, TBS6922 card and also with AZBox using OpenATV image and still get some ts recordings with no Crypt8.

I might try a SkyStar HD2 card to see if that resolves the problem?
