The leading Czech broadcaster TV Nova is looking for a new CEO, with Petr Dvorak having been promoted by its operator Central European Media Enterprises (CME).

Quoted in HN, Dvorak, who is now VP of broadcasting at CME, said he would have had a conflict of interest had he stayed in his previous position. Dvorak remains a director of CET 21, the other managers being Oliver Meister, VP for external relations at CME, and Adrian Sarbu, CME’s president and CEO.

In is new role, he is responsible for CME’s activities in all six countries in CEE, including the Czech Republic, in which the company operates.

There is a possibility that TV Nova’s new head will be appointed from within the company
