software update problem

Can anyone tell me where im going wrong .Ive updated new software and saved my channel list onto my usb .However after the update i go to update and saved but it dont update and ive lost all channels and my settings inc satellite postions? Thank you

Hi mike if you give some more information of what type of receiver you are using it might help with an answer.

Not understanding your issue.
If you saved the channel list you can always upload it back to the box.
If you have problem to update from satellite you can wait for availability of the PT file and update via USB.
I always prefer offline update via USB than OTA from satellite.
