Russia to develop satellite internet in remote areas
A project to develop satelite internet services in remote areas has been prepared by the order of the Russian Ministry of Communications.
VSAT equipment for RUB 8,000 and speeds of 512Kbps will be offered to residents of such areas, reports RBC Daily. The project requires an initial investment of RUB 1.6 billion and RUB 18.5 billion in 2012 to 2014.
