Hello, I had a problem with the Qviart dual when switching from android to enigma2, it remained in bot mode when I flashed it from nova, destroyed all enigmas and the one in slot 1, how now to insert enigma2 from the beginning and into slot 1.Thanks

Through RECO mode, I managed to enter enigma 2 in slot one and everything is fine

Odd i've not had this happen yet and i was in and out of loads of different images yesterday and booted from enigma back to android and back again. The only thing i did do though was always return to slot one before turning back to android.

It's random when it does it.

I initially thought it was only if you put it in standby when in android mode and then bring it out of standby (when the remote doesn't respond to anything other than power button), and you reboot.

So I got into the habit of booting to E2 and then putting it into standby.

But yesterday it occurred when booting from E2 to Android.

So just more bugs they need to fix.

Wouldn't be so bad, if you could just flash straight to 1.0.6 and then reflash the E2 images, but flashing Android 3 times (with factory resets in between) is time consuming.

With a spec DVB-S2X+T2/C H.265 IPTV 2GB RAM 16GB the Dual is fairly well specced to feature Android and Enigma 2 on the same receiver.

The Android side of this box is capable of using Forever SP codes. The Dual in my option is priced on the high side considering unlike the Viark range there is no attached Forever sub and you need to seek a SP code for it.

Booting up the box seem quick and the initial setup is time date and location.

Once booted we need to Flash the latest firmware.

There are two options

Qviart DUAL PT (1.04)-03292023 This is to be used if you have a Dual already and have flashed PT firmware previously.

For most if you are setting up the dual from the box youll need the following firmware.

Qviart DUAL (1.04) (Special)

DOWNLOAD

To flash this firmware is simple download it and extract the rar file to a fat32 formatted USB stick.
Insert the usb stick in the front slot of the Qviart Dual.
On your remote, navigate to Main Settings-Update-USB
Select the update bin file and press ok.

Go make a coffee or beer you'll need a beer later

After booting youll be greeted with a very clean and well laid out UI

At this point we need to do a factory reset this is very important or the receiver will not behave properly.

To do this on your remote navigate to Settings-Personal-Reset
Select reset all and press ok.

Complete the basic settings and then we can start to setup the sat side and channels.

On the front screen select Channel search.

You be greeted with this

If you have a motor scroll down to usuals first and enter your coordinates

Exit that and then select motor

On The satellite option at the top scroll <> on the remote and select all the sats on your arc and set each one to usuals and exit.

Now Select Antenna Settings.

At the bottom you see the Start Search option, this has multiple choices and this is where the Dual has bugs.

Satellite search does not move the dish after hitting OK
Multi Sat Search will cause the box to freeze as you start the search.
Blind scan also freezes the Dual but a second attempt may complete it scan but its not a given.

So here is my workaround to manually search all sat positions and get the motor to move to the correct position in the arc

On the top option of the Antenna Configuration, Highlight Satellite
Press the ok button and select the first position you want to scan and press the OK button, then again this will move the dish to the correct position.
Scroll down to start search and press ok

The search will now reliably start

After the search completes, reboot the box fully and commence with your next search till you have completed your full arc.

I'll attach my list for those that want to save time it includes all major sats from 45e to 30w

If you need your serial number youll find that under

Main Setting-Device-About and select status and press ok.

The EPG on the Dual has a Nice UI but like Viark the EPG itself is not full

The remote for the box is excellent smooth operation no clicking but i could not get the learning feature to work.

Have you set up the wlan in the settings when you first set an image up you have an option to choose either lan or wlan. Wlan it the wireless setting.

New Full Motor List

55 East to 30 West No major sat positions missing this time but im still hung over

All positions were done under blind scanning option.

Install list under Backup and Load options.
Set your USUALS coordinates and your good to go on a Universal LNB.

Took some doing this with all the Dual's scanning issues, so i hope it helps some of you set up quickly.

This evening i have been playing with the dual. I went back to the beginning. I reinstalled the special software 1.04 on to the dual. I then went about factory resetting the software 1.04. After the reset i then installed 1.06 and then did another factory reset. I then installed ferrets channel lists from last weekend. I then went onto the usals settings and entered my long and lat. Then this is one i only noticed today. I went to the motor speed settings and changed the speed from 0 to 2.0. I don't know if this will help anyone who has motor issues when using usals but it seems to drive my dish quicker.

I've been testing the motor settings from 0.8w to 13e to 16e and to 19e and over to 28e. The sky channels that we missing on 19e previously are now available to me. I have since turned the dish around to 30w and 27w. All working fine.

I also noticed someone asked earlier about changing channels on 19e. I tested and went from daznf1 to daznf1hd and the channels zapped fine.

Hi Feneki thanks for the information. I saw on someones photo today that it was set a 2.0 i will increase mine up further when i next turn the receiver on. I wonder if people who are having motor issues have the motor set to 0.0?
