Problems getting Astra 19.2 & Hotbird 13 channels

Hi all,

I have a Topfield 5500PVR, motor with single LNB and 65cm dish. I live in the middle of Germany.

I have set up the receiver to use USALS giving in my corret lat/long. I start a scan for Astra 19.2 and find most channels. However, some channels like VOX (12188 H) is not found, and sometimes it doesn't find ProSieben (12545 H). Also, it tries to find some channels on a particular frequency and when I check on lyngsat.com they're listed on the different frequency.

Then I try to scan for Hotbird, and it doesn't find any channels, however sometimes I get a list of Hotbird channels. When I have these channels and I try to view an FTA one, it says that it's turning the dish and nothing happens.

Has encountered these problems, or at least the problems with the missing frequencies/channels on Astra?

sorry dont have this receiver, but you could try this.(although it sounds like recever lnb problem.}

1) have you got lnb settings correct ? = usually universal.

2) was motor set to 0.0 degrees ?

3) move motor to reference point, this should be 0.0 degrees.

4) does motor move to 0.0 degrees, if not move by motor mounted buttons to 0.0, press reset button on motor.

does dish move and align to other satellites

if all of this is o.k. check lnb is o.k.
