I recently bought IPBox so I am new in all this. My IPBox come with DGS firmware which version I don't know, did not look.
Box is working fine with all DGS based images, except SIF r11453 I get ER1 (CRC error). With all E2 images which I tried box don't have picture on TV. Instead of picture I have some kind lines running, anything can not be recognized on screen. After any E2 image installation on box display appearing TV setup, as I have old 16:9 TV I guess this is the setup for him PAL, 50hz, 576i. After I set those and reboot power + OK still no picture! Something wired is happening at this point after I set PAL, 50hz, 576i I have last option YES or NO on box display and it does not matter what I chose YES or NO, nothing happens I mean box will display my last chose for ever. So I need to reboot IPbox with power + OK ?!?! It does not sound normal to me! Also I know about power + menu combination at boot and there I also set SD-PAL, still no help. I know that box is working in E2 because Telnet, FTP, WEB are working.

I fleshed ipbox last uBoot 1.33 ..........

DGS based images:
SifTeam 0.3.0 r11453 -- Ipbox 910HD not working ER1
SifTeam 0.3.0 r11453 -- Ipbox 910HD working, I have picture is OK on my TV
SifTeam 0.3.0 r11453 -- Ipbox 910HD working, I have picture is OK on my TV
AB 910HD r11453 working, I have picture is OK on my TV
DGS : r11453 -- Ipbox 910HD working, I have picture is OK on my TV

E2 all not working, no picture on TV:
Enigma 2 Nightly Build: v.0.7.0 for IPBox 910HD/3000HD
PKT mod 6.01 Tideglo rev 0.6.0 for 910HD
SIFTeam enigma2 extreme edition *beta5b*

Once again, with DGS based images I have picture on TV (I mean menus and etc...) With E2 images no picture (I mean menus and etc...) just lines are running on TV nothing can not be recognized ...........

I searched Internet for similar problem and I did not find any it looks like that I am the first case with problem like this.
So anyone can help?!? Any idea what is wrong?!?

Thanks!

Thanks for info!

After I install E2 on first boot, I get options "component", "HDMI", "SD-scart" on box display, then I select "SD-scart" and I press OK, then I get 576i on display and I again press OK, then I get 50Hz and I again press OK. Last thing which I get is to chose YES or NO. Does not meter what I chose YES or NO will stay on display after I press OK and nothing will happen. After manual reboot same thing!

I must say again I don't have black screen, I do have some lines running, I guess its box menu.
If I select "component" or "HDMI" then I have 100% black screen on TV.

I just got info that E2 have problem with TVs which are using non HDMI connection, I have been told that info was posted on SIF forum?!?
Does anyone here using IPbox with E2 image on SD-scart ?!?

What you should do is try to connect with two cables on your TV.

The scart-cable connected with your TV, E2 for scart at startup(E2 Iscan older version). This must give you visibility with E2.

At the same time you can switch to another resolution with your connected HDMI/DVI/Compnent cable after you have configure wich resolution is the best.Try to do this fast beacause you'll have to confirm with OK if the resolution is fine.

Hopefully this will help, because it is just an idea.A workaround.

Maybe someone with HDMI connection could try to get E2 working via scart or via standard video out, to conform that E2 is not working on anything else except HDMI connection.

It looks like that my problem is more serious. I am starting to think that new IPBox910hd revivers are different then old ones. Problems which I have I did not find anywhere on the Internet. Today I tried my box on Samsung full HD 32B530 TV set and E2 is not working even there! Its unbelievable! Its a good TV which can work with 1920x1080:60Hz no problem!

I tried this E2 sifteam-e2-ee-beta5b-cuberevo_mini2 image.
TV have 3 HDMI ports HDMI1/DVI, HDMI2, HDMI3. Just on HDMI1/DVI during the E2 booting I get picture in 640x480:60Hz, picture is OK, on the TV screen I can see "Beta5 ............ Loading" and at the bottom of screen "Extreme edition" then after few seconds I lose picture and I get message on TV "mode is not supported". On HDMI2, HDMI3 I don't have even that booting screen just message on screen "mode is not supported". I tried all combination even 576i:50Hz no go, same message "mode is not supported".

On scart and normal video out (yellow connector) picture is a bit better then on my old 16:9 but far away from OK picture. Picture is not stable is running, colors are distorted, but I can read words on screen (on my old TV I can see just lines, noting readable). In this case I tried all setup combination SD-PAL -> 576i:50Hz, nothing works with E2 image.

Funny thing is that with DGS based image ALL is working, HDMI right away started to work and I could set any option on HDMI it was working even 1920x1080:60Hz. So by this it must be that box is OK and the problem is in software.

Is it possible that new boxes are not compatible with E2 images?!? I have my box 2 weeks?!?
Its very very stange .......

Any ideas?

Hdmi working ok for me can be tricky to get it as sometimes after thirst boot you still have to go into video settings and set it to scart then back to hdmi again!

Also i have a cheap hdmi cable that wont work with the ipbox!

my better one works fine!

some cheap ones have some pins missing form the connection dont know why!

I agree with Jamie-Wareez.
Also what I you can do is try to install an old image of E2 (maybe the IscanMod 802) wich starts up with scart. This is what I remember of the IscanMod in USB.(you can try to look that up.)

I also asume you are flashing and not installing an USB-E2.Try both.(...and maybe E1....)

From there on, you can try to upscale E2(with other cables) and newer versions.

Probably the only way to do this....

Thanks for help!

@jamie-wareez
Your "cheap hdmi cable" is working on DGS based images or it does not work there also?
Which HDMI cable version you have?

@badeyeah
I also wanted to try with old E2 images to see what will happen ...
Which HDMI cable version you have?

The thing is, for my "simple" safe configuration I'm using a Monster component cable(35e) with a adapter(DVI) connected to the TV.

At this moment I'm very satisfied , and I did not have the time to switch over Hdmi, but tested 3 HDMI cables in the beginning without succes
