Power outage in Spain and Portugal

Here we are still without electricity, since 12:30 pm

The power has come back on, at 7:00 a.m. 18 hours and 30 minutes later.

What happened?

They say it is to do with abnormal atmosphere conditions? I would like to understand how the weather can have such an impact. Is the European grid so vulnerable?

Here in Spain, they were talking about buying an emergency kit. Was the power outage a coincidence? Or did they already know something was going to happen?

As far as I know, there's never been a power outage like this.

It is strange and it is official the power outages were not caused by Cyber attacks as first thought ,
it seems that Spain/Portugal are pretty reliant on France for quite a majority of electric Power .
hopefully investigations will reveal the truth but it is apparent that there is little to no sufficient back up
it took almost 24hrs to restore power so the fault/s were identified and at least Temp. Fixed
it will be interesting when the true cause is revealed nobody is buying the Atmosphere BS excuses that's for sure .
