I was wondering has anyone tried recently released oscam with dvbapi support for cooli.
I am using Vu+ atm and don't want to hookup cooli now if someone has already tried it.
Does it work good connected to cccam, better them oscam+mgcamd?

Hi Rocknroll

it works for sure, 100%, at last!
I have on my coolstream 4 to 5 cccam connections and also 1 camd connection to another oscam server. it handles everything just fine.

I already removed mgcamd from my cool machine :D

Ok, thanks for the feedback guys.
I didn't want to bother with connecting all the cables only to be disappointed but I'll check it out now that you say it is worth trying.

Perfectly

Works great. One Nagra3 local card and some other non local connections. Much better than MgCamd.

Having issues with Oscam 1.20 svn6792 freezing as dvbapi client to cccam 2.1.4 on Neutrino ~reloaded 12.06.2011. NEO freeze to the point of power-down beeing the only way out.. Have tried newer Osc's, but no luck. Others with similar problems?

about img (ie NG img)
you need the bin oscam:D in var/bin ( attributes 755 or 777)

and in var tuxbox config you can see ( will magically appear after you put the Bin) , oscam.server, oscam.user, oscam.dvbapi, oscam.conf

these files are the only essential

Then .... you have to study how to fill in the right way: D: D

Yes, understand that.
What do we do with oscam.dvbapi ?

Also a file called whitelist, is this neccessary for use with cccam server?

in oscam.dvbapi

you write preferences for caid related to your card, or at least to get what you want.
and without this file does not work oscam alone.

if you want to investigate the matter,
I'll put a doc
where you will find examples, syntax and meaning of each word and parameter (txt)

Channel freeze

I have tried different settings in the files: oscam.conf, oscam.server and oscam.user and mg_conf.
Theese are the files I have found I need to run remote cccam lines to an Oscam server. Have also got conf files from oscam conf creator.
It seems that Mgcamd is the motor for Oscam to decode the c lines on cccam server. When I switch off mgcam the decode stops, when I switch off the Oscam it still decodes.

There are problems with some channels that they freeze for shorter or longer time. Can perhaps be during ecm change. While other channels are perfect.
So I wonder if there are anything that can be done to stop the
freeze ?
Can the channel info (caid, pid) for the problem channels be entered into a conf file to make things better.
I have the Oscam 9003 version, but it was the same on earlier versions.
Receiver is Coolstream Neo and the last NG Neutrino hd v.2.40, but was the same on v.2.30.
And the satellite is Thor 1 W.
Use no card only remote user.

When I try Mgcamd/Newcamd525 and CWS lines on the same channels, all are perfect.

Can it be the internet connection (10/2 Mbps)?
There are some logs options, any log that can catch the problem ?

Hi.

I have made conf files with oscam config generator and have not
selected mgcamd. Most channels I try decodes, but some freeze occationally. Restart the camd puts it back on.
Have tried different settings in the conf files, but work only with mgcamd on.
When I close mgcamd and only run oscam, the channels go black.
What excactly are needed to connect to cccam server with 2 C lines and run ony with oscam ?
The dvbapi.conf makes no sense as long as I do not use own card but connects as client to cccam server.
Now it seems that Mgcamd is the controller.
