You can record scrambled channel and descramble before playback:
Go to record files list, select scrambled record, press Record button, select CAM with card
for descramble and press OK. STB create new descrambled file.

Hi i had 8421 sifteam installed, i flashed abcom 8630 but in first boot panic,
after reboot it is crashing in 1 minut,
everytime after booting and then about 1 minut it is crashing, i can not use it ,,

If you have previous installed version not from ABCom(like sifteam, or NLB) you should first install original version from DGS(ABCom), than install over your required new version.

I tried the manipulation with the nlb8630. And it works. I tried with SD and HD channel.
I have a powercam.

Here is the test I made :
1. I select a scrambled channel
2. I then I press the record button, it starts recording.
3. I switch on another scrambled channel. The the display freeze (I think it's because the cam is used by the first channel I record).
4. Then I press the record button again and it starts to record the second channel.
5. I switch back on the first recorded scrambled channel so the display is not freezed

6. Then after few minutes I stop all recordings.
7. In the file list, there are 2 files : one is not scrambled, and the second is (does not play : the display is frozen). Then you select the scrambled file and press the record button, a menu appears. You select the cam that must unscramble the file and select OK. Then a new file is created after few minutes of work. And this file is unscrambled.

i did it but still i am crazy with this box,
i put first cuberevo 8107 image after that abcom 8630 ,
after that the channellist is coming automatic astra hotbird like that, but after factory reset and put my own eutelsat w7
only 1 minutes it working and then crash,
if i select first channel STAR 11678V it crashes direct,

then i try 33 mb abcom 8340 after this box working fine, then i flash again 8630 abcom ,and box dont like it again and begin with crashes in 1 minut,
if i put 8611 dgs orjinal it work fine but when i go again STAR 11678v it crashes only with this channel again.

only 8340 abcom, 8340 sifteam, 8340 nlb, this images working good,
is there any another image that flashed it FULL and that i can flash 8630 abcom after that???

very strange that it not works,
and i have 2 pieces of this box and is idem problems
please help me out

Try to put first any full images for Dgstation [Cuberevo] this is the same as ABCom IPBox9000HD:

Addons Instalation:

- copy "addon_version-9000HD_sh4.ipk" to /tmp by FTP;
- connect to box with webinterface ( write IP adress of your box to internet browser);
- use login/password : root/ipbox
- go to menu addons;
- select manual;
- press install;
- wait for STB reboot;
Red button : key update
Green button : server/client reboot

Ok today i found something, with 8630 abcom image the box work fine on hotbird and astra,
but when i go to eutelsat w3 7 degrees and watch there some channels is fine too,
but when i go to the channels from Digital Platform provider that is scrambled with irdeto and cryptoworks it crashes in less then 1 minute,
if the channel is fta channel from Digital platform provider it crashes too :mecry::mecry:
i dont know what is this problem, never seen it,
and with image 8421 is working fine everything, only this image give me troubles

Nice to see that it is not only me with this problem.

I only scanned in 7.0e and tried FTA channels and box crashed.


I think it could be the high symbol rate of SR30000.

Gone back to older image for now.
