Use Denys and scan both MIS transponders, don't bother with Enigma.
For the enigma, you would have to use a suitable satellites.xml so that the scan can also find programs from MIS transponders.I'm using an Octagon SX88 V2 with the latest Open VIX (6.4 ). I've scanned 5 degrees west and while the French channels there have a good signal, I can't resolve them. As the box is multi-stream, I thought they'd be FTA. Is it because I'm using Open VIX? Is there something else I should be doing to see these channels FTA?
Dreambox edit is a program for sending a channel list download from the internet to your box. You down load the channel list from the internet. Save it into a folder and then set up dreambox edit with your boxes ip address and password. You then open your folder you just saved and tell the program to send the files to your box. Why would you want to send the files to a usb stick.Thanks. I have found the 5 West files on Dreambox edit. I see that the editor creates a lamedb5 file and satellites XML. Could I simply transfer them using a USB stick?
