Is anyone using these receivers.
Could you suggest me what to choose , and why ?
I have the qviart dual but not the sf8008 i believe that they are essentially the same receiver. The one big bonus for the dual is that on android side it has access to the forever server and its the only box on the market that i am aware of that can do android forever server and e2. Now the bad parts the software on the android side has a number of bugs and people will say the last release on the android side was either rushed or a step backwards. On the E2 side things are pretty good and most things work ok, just the odd bug like screen sizing not working correctly, Its pretty speedy box but i am unsure if the E2 side has had any driver updates for some time.

I believe the sf8008 will probably be a more finished box on the software side, maybe @Ferret will give you his opinion.

My opinion is really simple. Buy a Sat 4k if you want a forever box avoid the Dual.

If your happy with just an E2 box buy the SF8008.

The Dual is a nice idea but its development in terms of fixing its know flaws does not exist, in fact Qviart may clear one bug and introduce more at the same tme. There are still major bugs that have not been resolved since its first PT software. Known bugs reported by many members and Qviart do nothing.

The Dual is an experimental box, it is not a box for a new users.

Do yourself and your hairline a favour and buy a Sat 4k.

ok , but what about 3d party images for Qviart dual Box ?.
As i read , for example OpenPLI is developing images for dual boxes ( The last image is made on June 10 2024)
Does these 3d party images have resolved bugs you mentioned ?

The E2 side of the Dual is ok no major bugs, its the Android side that is full of bugs and given what it opens connected to the Forever server is the main reason to purchase a Dual.

Plenty of decent image groups support the Dual.

OpenPLi
OpenATV
PureE2
OpenBlachole

There more than the above all still been developed.

One issue that may arise and does from time to time is booting from E2 to Android or Android to E2 the box fails to boot and worse case scenario is you have to spend a couple of hours reinstalling firmware or images from either side or both sides in some cases knowing the same boot issue could happen again.

Sole destroying it is an experimental box.

There are a number of images for the e2 side, for example on mine I have OpenBh in slot 1, open atv in slot 2, pure2 in slot 3 and openspa in slot 4. The are other images such openpli and cobraliberosat. I find openpli images don't work well for me as the tuner locks up if using an icam channel list and at the moment i also find the webif steaming of a channel does not work, this is only on openpli. There are some other issues and I think as the driver still need a little work.

On the Android side one thing that bugs me among the other faults is the server coming disconnected and then the channels that are available not showing up a yellow. I have not updated to the latest android software yet.

At the moment as far as i am aware the Qviart dual is the only dual boot box that allows both the use or E2 images but also has access to the forever server via the android side. The forever server gives access to exclusive packages that other receivers cannot open. @gdf1968 has given you a link to follow for more information on boxes that can connect to the forever servicer.

Its just like the old cccam but its an exclusive server for boxes such as the viarks and others. Its kept exclusive to those boxes and not sharable so not available on cccam or oscam/ncam. Thats how they make their money selling boxes.

Forever server means that if you buy a qviart dual you have a free server access forever or it's a subscription to pay ?

The server access on a new receiver is 2 years.

To get the 2 years you update the receiver with a special firmware then the latest firmware which is 1.09

If you require UK and DE sKy then you need to purchase a SP code but this increased everything to 3 years on the server

There are two many packages to mention if you google mars server sometimes there is a list of packages available but these could be out of date. Forever/mars are nearly the same. Nobody here sells the server packages and you will need to google forever sp1, prices seem to range from euro 35 to 49 per year.

Do you have a full head of Hair ? If you do buy a sat 4k

If you don't you dont well you dont have owt to lose from the stress keeping the dual working will bestow on you.
I'm trying to find out the best choice.
The dual is cheaper than sat 4k , has more RAM and better CPU than sat 4k.
Also the Dual has also T2 tuner and i need that.

Ferret has tried to give you advice the dual is still a long way from being perfect, if you want a box that is ready and will work straight out of the box then the sat 4k is the one for you. You also need to know if you want the sky channels you need to pay for sp1 on the dual where it is available within the cost on the sat 4k.
