No sound on media center

Hello, and thanks for the new image from dream-elite!!

Even though I have a problem with my media center, everything works well except the sound. When I push the "audio" button it says that all types of audio is "Undetermined". Is that a well known problem? Is there a fix for it?

Yes, I can play all formats mkv. avi and so on, but I dont get any audio. I cannot play mp3's too.

Ok mate i will take a look this when i get home. Ive not yet tried playing any media types in Blackhole but i did in the VTI image with mixed success audio and video skipping.

Try sending over the avi to the movies folder and play it from the movies button not in Media player see if that helps.

Doesn't work too by putting it in the hdd/movie directory. It's the same problem. No audio.

Any body else than me got that issue?

Mate,

Try this simple solution:

Shut it (the box) down then start it up again and you have the sound back ;-)

if you switching between av1 and av2 (hdmi 1&2 of the tv in-output) then you have to wait a few second until the sound is working/back again.

Ps: I have how do I called a “problem?” with the sub file, I don’t know how to play it at the same time with the movie as example;
Avatar or the Book of how’s knows, mp4 H264.
I put the sub file which its comes with the same downloaded movies of course in the same folder as the movie is and upload it to the hdd and also I put it in the /etc/ddsubt/ folder and triad to start it manually and it does but when I trying to play the movie I can’t select the main menu of the image/box to starting the subT so that’s why no subT here.

Hi, that does not solve the problem. Cause I didn't had any issues in for example VTI and PLI images. And normal satellite tv is everything working also audio! ;-) it's only when I want to play my mkv. avi vob. and so on files I get the problem with there is no audio. Only video.

I had almost the "same" problem with the sound after shut it down and starting it up again the probs is gone.

Any why if you can post it on the BH forum/site it will be fixed? maybe maybe Not but give it a try
