Hi, everyone! So, as the title suggests, am a newbie.. a very excited one, cause this hobby itself is very exciting and wonderful.
I actually don't even yet have a dish or a tuner to play around with, but am planning to get very soon. Thankfully, I currently live in a place where finding a satellite dish, especially a BRAND NEW one.. as large as 150cm+ isn't hard as in other parts of the globe.
So, what tuners are you guys using that are reasonably priced and work well for tuning into and capturing backhauls/fronthauls, etc.?? I've been recommended the TBS5927 USB Tuner, but it's a little too pricey for me now.. Am also interested in the software y'all would recommend for capturing the feeds, especially with the Dolby E audio that a lot of these are coming with???
Getting some info on decrypting BISS-protected content too would be really helpful, please.. Just throw in little bits of everything for me to start getting myself familiar with them.
