newbie question newcs 1.63

Hi, can someone please tell me how i go about installing newcs_1.63 ?.i run a dm7020 on darkstar and i cant find it in cam addons.i do have some knowledge of installing cams but this has lost me.

go here download the file then ftp the e1 tar.gz to tmp then do a manual install.

cheers for the help Brummie , i dl'ed the file and ftp'ed over the newcs_1.63 over to the tmp folder but and tried manual install from the yellow but it said " nothing to install" .do i have to rename to tar.gz and do i have to change the attributes to anything ?.

For nabilo you have to use TGZ file not tar.gz

inside the folder is an e1 tar.gz zipped file ftp that to tmp and it should show up then i have just tested it and it shows on manuall install :thum:

so am i right in thinking i ftp over the newcs_1.63 to tmp then rename to "TGZ" not TGZ.gz. then hit the yellow button and then addons (yellow button again) and manual install ?.
sorry for sounding thick chaps just a little bit more help and i think i'll crack it lol.

no when you have downloaded the file open the folder and in that folder is 2 zipped files 1 e1 and 1 e2 drag the zipped e1 file to your desktop then ftp it to tmp

ahhhhh right sorry , , i were unzipping it file before i was ftping it.right its now showing for install on the dreambox addons but its saying " not a nabilo image OK ? what should i do ?.

i was pretty sure that file was the same as the one i have just uploaded, the one i have just put up is from the nabilo site

No.Nabilo uses a .TGZ zipped format . For gemini you need tar.gz file,nemesis .tbz2.
And i dont think that gona work just with rename it.

i just downlaoded "e1-e2-newcs_1[1].63_090114.tar" again and send the "e1" file over to tmp and it still says " not a nabilo image".i hope it's not me lol.

i have the same message now and i just got that from nabilo site from the nabilosat emu packages/

i will remove it sorry about that i will look for the proper one now

does it say " this is not a nabilo image ok ?" when you click on it ?.thanks m8 for the help so far much appreciated.i got this from a wbsite it said for the 7020

"E2_mgcamd1.31_newcs1.63_nab" would it be any good ?.

no dont use the E2 one them are for different images not the 7020's

you could install 1.62 with CCcam or MgCamd from the download panel for now, i am pretty sure they will have 1.63 on the download panel soon

thanks for that but i've already got 1.62 on and ive a few issue's with freezing.someone said the discovery fix and update to 1.63

That file is from nabilo site and was uploaded by voyger but is not for nabilo.nabilo Files there have separate section.If am not wrong.
Like i wrote is not gona work just rename it.
Try this maybe gona work (unzip first then inside you have tgz file).
