New! Experienced help needed! Please!

Hi all, I'm back into motorized systems after over a decade. After years of being with that monopoly called S*Y I thought enough is enough. Repeat after bloody repeat and having to pay Pay Per View charges on top of subscriptions to watch my favorite team, well :nana: to them.

Last time I was in the game I was used to Filmnet and D2Mac decoders etc and my trusty Echostar receivers: 4500/5500/8700. How things have changed! :mecry:

Now where do I go? Some say Cams and some say Patches!

Been looking on Ebay at various receivers and I am starting to favour the Echolink 3020 with multi cam embedded and 2 CI slots for the best of both worlds. Anyone got any views on this receiver?

Others I have been looking at include the following:

Evolve 8800 Reality Receiver 2 x CI and Card Slot

MANHATTAN DSR-5500CI SATELLITE RECEIVER (No USALS so won't bother)

Technomate TM-5200D USB PVR Ready Patched Receiver

SatCatcher Voyager III 2CI + Embedded Cam Multi-Crypt

 Any thoughts? I have a few days before I buy so.......

Anyway its nice to be back and I really am excited about all these channels out there, just hope I am a quick learner!

Thanks to anyone that can help.

PS:WOW Lifes got easier! I paid over £150 to have a system installed all those years ago, now with that new thing called USALS and latitude setting on my motor I'm gonna have a go myself. Found a site called dishpointer and it actually shows me where to point the dish with a line. So I just aim for the middle of the garage across the road (Thor Satellite). AMAZING!

Only thing I am a bit puzzled with is that my Longtitude is -1.678. I assume that my true south is roughly that and I should aim my dish set to 0 at Thor at 1 west to find the top of the arc.

Again any help on this would be gratefully appreciated. :clapping:
