New Oozoon Image problem

I see that there is a new Oozoon image available for the DM8000 but when I use the update plug-in it says that there is not any available, anybody shed some light on the problem please

Hi mate

Maybe it is just a matter of time before a update appears.

Sometimes if lots of changes have happed to the CVS then a online update may not be possible, this could be the case here.

Might be better to backup you settings and configs and flash the new image from scratch.

Thanks for the info, could you please run through the backup procedure it might save hours of work.

For channel settings use Dreamset to back those up.

There is a guide to configuring Dreamset here but be sure to use the Enigma 2.4 settings

And rather the write the setting choose read a select a folder to store them.

Obviously if you don't scan your own setting and use setting such as vhanibles you don't need to do this just use the latest version.

You could also use the backup and restore plugin from the plugins menu and backup to removable media then when you flash the new image do the same but select restore.

Then back up your cam configs from the /etc folder if they are important to you.

what I was looking for was the ability to copy all the settings from the old image into the new i,e satellite position settings cam set-up and things like that.

For cam setup copy the the configs from etc. The ones specific to your cam. You can copy the cam itself but its better to install the cam again from IPK file, its the configs that may be important.

For sat positions copy the config file from etc/enigma2. But if you use the backup and restore from the plugin menu it will back that file up.
