i am using a tbs 6925 card with dvb dream

Eutelsat 10A (10.0°E)

Frequency: 11010 - Pol: H - SR: 30000 - FEC: 3/4

Category: Sport - Tennis

Transmitted in: MPEG-4

can anyone using dvbdream or progdvb view the feed i am only getting a green screen and shadows of tennis players i was told to stream it to VLC but when i tried that all I was getting was 1 frame picture and on the screen then it would freeze

is it a codec problem that i have ?

i have elecard and lav codecs

I read elseware that you need a decent CPU to stream it to VLC

on MY PC I have windows 7
AMD Athlon (tm)IIX4 640 Processor 3.00 GHz
8GB RAM
64 bit OS

should that be enough power to stream 422 mpeg4 to VLC ?

Its playing ok here on progdvb, you dont need to stream it to vlc with a pci card, it will play in dreamdvb or progdvb. Install latest lav filters and select lav in codec options for all video types

Do you select LAV internally in ProgDVB or is it a Windows default type of setting. I have run the LAV installation exe file and selected the default destination but there is nothing visible in ProgDVB?

Grateful for any advice

They should appear in video and audio codec options if you have installed them correctly. If your running 64bit prog I found it needed 64bit plugins/codecs in order to work

The following codecs work for me in order to watch 4:2:2:
1-Lav filter (I think Nvidia only)
2-FFDshow
3-Dscaler
4-Elecard (not free)

Thx, I have now found them, they are available from the drop down selection arrows in the 2nd column of the box when I select Setting/Options/Video/Codecs.

I have a GTX580 card, would you please know if there is a preferred video renderer for that card to help with 4.2.2 in ProgDVB?

Thx
