MBC 26e in UK?

Well, maybe if Barney reads this thread he might try a quick test and point his dish at 26E just to see
what the signal reception is like. As long as It's motorised, as if it's fixed it would be too much to ask
and likely inconvenient for him to adjust it.

Barney in Ireland has a 2.0m dish but I think he is too far North and West to get reasonable reception?

correct MBC chaannels are a no go even on my 2 meter beam is just too far away sadly !

Just checked E2PLAYER addon on my Vu+ and most (if not all) of the MBC channels are available for free and in crystal clear HD.

Please forgive all the slightly off-topic questions, but....

- What is the E2Player addon and where can this addon be accessed?
- Is this an addon for all Enigma receivers?
- Does it have any other channels besides the MBC channels, are there any UK and US channels ie: English language?

Its called E2IPLAYER and its available to download via the dreamsat panel which is built in to most Blackhole/Openpli 8.3 firm wares (and I think a fair few others)
Yes it has most of the Arabic channels that we cant get via 26E/7W Rotana/LBC etc. as for English/American IIRC there are a lot of free PBS type channels on there along with around a thousand more from all over the world.

Yes but hopping through the channels just now it looks like that ALL of the MBC channels are on there I found MBC Persian with its English movies but no MBC Action.
still think its worth a try though as its free.
There is also a IPTV server built in to the same (Blackhole) firmware which may give is the few missing channels.
I will check and get back to you.

I have attached a small table below that summarises my reception of the mbc channels from the cluster of satellites around 26.0 East.

If any other IRE/UK members wish to have scan results added to the table please post them in this topic with other relevant details and I will include them in the table.
For comparison purposes it is best if signal levels are reported in dB rather than %
