Next week (week 40 of this year) KD 23.5E will start the smartcard exchange, one year later than expected. The exchange should be done till october 28th 2009.

Selekt Kino & Redxclub channels are down this morning for me, the rest of KD package is ok however. Anyone else?

Is the card change starting to have an effect?

As far as I read Selekt Kino & Redxclub have changed to nagra3 this morning!
Bad news! The last PPV channels available have gone now!

Kabel Deutschland schaltet unsichere Verschlüsselung ab
[rp] Leipzig - Mit mehrmonatiger Verspätung wurden bei den ersten Sendern im Angebot der Kabel Deutschland die alte Nagravision-Codierung am frühen Mittwoch morgen abgeschaltet.

Die Pay-per-View-Kanäle Select Kino und redXclub können somit nicht mehr illegal entschlüsselt werden.

Bereits seit September führt Deutschlands größter Kabelnetzprovider einen Kartentausch durch um seine Digitalpakete vor Piraterie zu schützen. Die meisten Kunden haben in den letzten Wochen bereits eine neue Smartcard erhalten (DF berichtete).
