How to find feed transponders?

Today I performed a blindscan test on different modes.

I did a scan on Eutelsat 7E.

1. blind scan via EBSpro result: 70 transponders, however also mixed with transponders from neighboring sat (4.9E).
2. Via ALTdvb software an import of KingOfSat transponders. Result: 40 transponders.
3. Via ALTdvb software an import of FastSatFinder transponders: Result 153 transponders.
4. Octagon SF8008 blindscan result: 23 transponders.

For 1,2,and 3 I used a TBS5927 USB pc receiver.

To me the blindscan via EBSpro seems to be the best method.
But then with a filter that filters out neighboring satellites.

By scanning only a part of the frequency band (only feeds are interesting) the number of transponders will decrease, but the 'problem' remains the same.

Would like your advice.
Which method do you use?

Really more than a filter issue it seems you've a dish pointing problem.

With a 1.2m dish, problem is with one degree satellite distance (ex. you hardly can partially distinguish satellites as 10°E/9°E, or 4°w/5°w going a bit out of focus) - but you can't get such problem with 7°E/5°E (2 degrees distance).
I suggest you to check your system for a better pointing.

There is only Feed Transponders active since past 6 months or so on 7 East
As Feedhunter Ratzvan said your dish is simply not aligned very well
when i scan 7E i get only 7 East TP's and should never be picking anything from 9E or 4.8E either just 7 East only

i just do blind scan range Vertical and Horizontal 10950-11200 , 12500-12750 and just Verical 11400-12000
that method i find is fast and picks up every feed for 7E ,

if you want the best Feed ranges for every sat then use this guide list by our Feed Hunter @ William-1

If using a PC, I use a TBS 6903 or TBS 6983 internal PC cards with either CrazyScan, EBSPro or IQmonitor.
With EBSPro you can set multiple frequency ranges per satellite so as to avoid interfering frequencies from close by satellites.
