The Czech Telecom Office (CTU) is in principal against putting back the analogue switch off date to 2012, according to its president, Pavel Dvorak.
Quoted in the local press, he described the move to put back the date from October 10, 2010 to November 11, 2011, which was announced only two weeks ago, as a compromise.
The transition to digital broadcasting is already well under way in the Czech Republic: DTT services were launched in late 2005, and one, albeit small, part of the country went all-digital last year.
