I'm a novice and clumsy, but I tune in my Ariva 102E more than 100 channels encrypted and only 24 open.

crash with patch firmware

The 102E firmware does not work.
The DumpFile.abs load well.
I was unable to load the file keys.db. It restarted every time that I tried it.

The initial image very nice, but after several reboots the receiver L.E.D. stayed in.

I was forced to return to original firm by nullmodem cable.

key file, copy to memory stick, without any folders (pure key.db file)

upload the keys> menu> tools> upgrade by USB> upgrade mode key.db > upgrade file key.db > Start

I've done everything as you indicated and the receiver stays in LED mode after a few reboots.
I do not understand why not load the key.db

Should key.db be a specific size?
I have a bit scared to break the receiver. It's new.

I have a 102e and after this update my only video resolutions are 480i and 576i. I tried with scart and hdmi with no sucess. Can you help me? before update it showed full resolutions to 1080p. Best regards

Ariva 202E update failure

Hi
just after updating my NEW 202E with V1.19B1 and now the box wont turn on. it did say that the BIN didn't match but i don't know what that means! Is my new box fried or can i load an older version on using the RS232 connection??

the problem is the distance from router or Ap WIFI.
You can try to approach box/RouterWIFI, until you reach at least the 80% signal.

I solved it.

Now, I wanted to know if the connection to wifi is automatic, or if must select it manually every time??? (restart, ecc.)

I have to connect every times manually...I dislake it!

Can you help me?

go to menu> tools > Network Settings > DHPC > DHPC, in turn > exit

Manual Connection to wi-fi

JAKITAKI,
Yesterday I tried but It not works....
Every times I put DHCP ON, it shows me a msg with push exit or ok, and that setting return to OFF... (for each choice)

I don't know which is the problem, I can try to change some parameters/settings on Router...
I probably turned off the dhcp on the router for security some days ago...

If I can to set DHCP to ON, then after every reboot (box, or router), Are you sure that the connection will became automatic ?

I will try that solution soon...

I confirm!!! the connection to wifi is only manual, there is no setting to make it automatic.
(as written it is necessary that the signal is strong, then you only need a lot of patience, maybe trying the search again)

set on DHCP only means that you will have potentially a different ip sent by the router. (it not is useful solution for those who have to open the doors/port to a specific local ip).

It is the problem with this firmware is precisely the search for wifi.

For developers: it may be helpful to think of improving the management of wifi, with the ability to automatically connect as the best quality, what do you think?
