When the file extension ends with "tar.gz" is for USB
When the file extension ends with ".img" is for flash

To large for flash!!!!!

use the original sif 5.0 then instal the pkt addon....
but remember e2 dont run as well on flash. it works best when it has loads of space!!!!!

does tar.gz need unpacking or re-naming?,,,pls somebody help!

You have to unpack the tar.gz file in telnet the .img file has to be flashed like a regular image (USB stick or through the Flashtools and USB cable)
