Hey Ferret,

Edited the file yesterday with the extra channels, pretty straightforward.
Thing is, how to you clear the EPG cache on that image? I had downloaded the sky UK Rytec EPG and it's not getting overwritten by the Open EPG.

Try deleting the epg.dat file at

media/usb or media/hdd

I did and the EPG is still there, it cashes it somewhere I think.

Don't think so as you can select any provider and download manually only that one.

So how will i know it has worked? i mean if rytec downloads it populate the epg. (i assume opentv is what sly use? does that mean the epg will be the same as sly)

hello,

I've a issues with this img ! When I put the box in stand by, after I open my box by button the Tv doesnt recognize HDMI !
I unplug the cable from TV and plug again the signal of box appear again on TV !
That bug it is only for this image !

That was a bug in the official image but it is now corrected. It was missing the HDMI handshake. Im guessing Dream Elite didn't use the latest official image to build their image on.

I guess this will be corrected in later versions.

That is correct mate, PLI is based on latest official image,
HDMI handshake is OK there.I hope someone has mentioned to Dream Elite Team abour this problem.

Meoboot

I use now Dream Elite on Flash and VTI and PLI on USB stick, works perfect , just wonder why booting from Flash is taking so long time ( up to 4-5 minutes ) ?

I have Dream Elite in the flash and it boot in 3min 30secs give or take 10 secs lol I do not yet have Meoboot installed.

So maybe your longer time is down to the meoboot splash screen loading or Meoboot checks.

Yes you can but boot time will be very long then. I used a couple of 8000 images with VTI in flash and Barry Allen but they crash a lot. Worth trying with Meoboot though.

I have today tried black hole but the media player is poor. my mkv movies playback with no sound ( AC3 ) and it did not even list my mp3's.
Gone back to PLi.

Hey Bacardi,

I am not sure, you can get the Sly epg from Rytec as well, but the open EPG one is more complete or at least it was when I was using Crossepg.
You can however download each EPG package seperately so not sure about your question.
My question is now more, how can I clear the EPG? I have tried to delete the EPG.dat and cold reboot and the EPG is still there so where is it
