I have an original dm800, does not take images when I look at the device info says:

Product Name DM800
Booloader version Dreambox Second Stage Loader BUILD # 59, built 20,080,509
Size 64 MB Flash

should change SSL and if so where can it???

You need to install a newer secondstage bootloader.
The easy way: flash it with a newer secondstage*.nfi file.
Here it is: dreamboxupdate.com/download/7020/secondstage-dm800-84.nfi
Reboot the box once, turn it off and put it in flash mode again.
Now you can flash it with a new image.

Newer versions of Firefox and IE are not going to work with a older secondstage bootloader on the box.
Windows XP has a older version of IE, it should work.
I think Opera should work too, or you could use DreamUp.
