for the second problem,in the softcam file delete all the other lines having the same provider (and restart softcam)

i'm using a VU+ solo, and a greek friend has asked if i can get some greek channels for them.
cannot see any of the ERT channels in biss

the line in red, is your problem for alpha channel.
the "N1" etc are the "ERT" channels.
now,as i see some channels/providers,are more than one time.

you can't use cccam for ert channels.only mgcamd,or oscamymod or oscam emu.

the ert channels,does not transmit the "encrypted" information,so the cccam views them as fta and does not decode them.
the other emus are using different decoding way,so they decrypt the channels (the above in simple words,somewhere in the for*um is and a full technical explenation)

and can you recommend a reeceiver for these channels, thats easy to use and easy to change the keys? as an elderly greek freind keeps asking me if there are any greek channels

??? all the linux e2 receivers are ok (if they are working mgcamd).
in not linux receivers, edision progressive are cheap and good (for this job).

Yes but ERT @ 3°East is not BISS Encrypted
DCW [ Direct Control Word ] key is used instead
im not exactly sure how to save this key so it will be remembered using ProgDVB and Vplug as ERT encrypted channels use share VPID aswell
it should be possible but i can confirm ERT channels will work by just manually enter DCW Key into Vplug .

For the ERT Channel used only my old TM 6900HD Super.Its very simple insert the Biss key's.and oll works fine.Don't try never on my DM 800Se...
