how many scary dreams have we had with clowns in 3D? haha
some more 3D news :thum:

The world's first clownery-performance was held in Moscow in 3D format.

April 19, 2011, in Moscow's cinema center Karo Film October, the first clownery premiere in the world was held in 3D format. The Russian Corporation General Satellite - the largest developer and manufacturer of television set-top boxes has made a movie version of Leonid Leikin’s Show (by the Litsedei Theater) Fly and Saw, dedicated to Slava Polunin.

The Fly and Saw Program is a best creation by Leonid Leikin, a world famous unique clown, who for the last 12 years cheers up the spectators at the DU SOLEIL Circus.

Before the premiere, the Project-Makers shared with the assembled reporters the goal of such an unusual experiment as the clownery in 3D that they have decided to go for.

"Our theater is very fond of everything innovative: we have been the first to leave the mime theater and create an established clownery theater, - Leonid Leikin said. - Therefore, when the General Satellite Company came to us with a proposal to tape the show in the 3D format, we readily agreed. Even in Soviet times, I loved to watch TV shows, and I am very sorry that this tradition is almost gone: The movie you can shoot anew, while each theater performance is unique, it is shot the way it is, and its value lies therein."

Pavel Chumakov the General Satellite Company’s Innovation Director supported Leonid Leikin, "It is very difficult to shoot such an action. We have long been engaged in the technology and content creation, yet this experience is the first one and is very important to us. In the movies, you can reshoot the take. A theater-play is sort of a frozen reality that cannot be repeated, so you need to shoot at the one and only attempt. Our Project is something new both technologically and as far as the creative vision is concerned."

After the official part, Leonid Leikin, Victor Solovyev, Anwar Libabov and Anna Orlova greeted the guests, and the young actors of the Litsedei tried to leave everyone with a nose: bright clown noses and flutes brought joy that evening not to the children only but also to all the participants.

Armen Dzhigarkhanjan, Oleg Mityayev, Nikita Vysotsky, Igor Ugolnikov with his wife, Helen Vorobei and her family, Catherine Strizhenova with her youngest daughter Sasha, Cornelia Mango, Viktor Chaika and other fans of Litsedei came to the premiere to congratulate their friends and colleagues. Armen Dzhigarkhanjan admitted it was for the first time in his life that he saw something in 3D and enjoyed trying on the glasses before the show.

The Premiere guests greeted the unusual movie-play: the applause did not cease throughout the entire show, so the Cinema Hall (designed to seat 1500 spectators) of the October Movie Center resembled a rather huge auditorium that evening. The Project-Makers hope that the 3D movie-play by Litsedei will soon be available to a wide range of Russian viewers.
