Chris Evans buys jilted bride's dress
A jilted bride who went ahead with her reception - with her dog as groom - has sold her wedding dress to Chris Evans.
The DJ bought Emma Knight's wedding dress for £5,000 after inviting her on to his show, reports the Mirror.
The Radio 2 host asked: "What if we buy it? We'll call it the Drivetime Dress. If any women who are size 14 want to get married they can borrow it from us.
"We'll be like a hire shop. We will give you £5,000 for it because you had a nightmare of a day."
Emma, 41, from Portland, Dorset, said: "For that money I'll throw in the shoes for free."
The nurse had sold her house to pay for the wedding but was dumped by Paul Fox, 37, two weeks before the big day.
To cheer herself up she decided to go ahead with her wedding reception anyway.
She dressed her faithful dog Dennis up as the bridegroom, wore the £1,500 wedding dress and partied until the small hours with her 100 guests.
