Solomend 800HD pvr / Openbox S9 pvr / Skybox S9 pvr
I have just got my hands on a couple of these boxes. In my opinion they will replace the DM800 as the cheapest way to get HD premium channels. These boxes are bigger than the dm800 they do the same things as the dm800 the picture quality is as good picel wise but they dont suffer from weak tuners and they run cold not like the dm800 toaster. they are a hell of a lot cheaper to get £100-120 the downsides are the menus look like cheap freeview box menus but they work ok. they run cccam and mgcam aswell. as this box is a linux based box once the big boys like "Dream Elite" and "Sif Team" and all the other good linux based programmer get to grips with these boxes they will wipe the floor with the dm800's. you can connect a external hard drive to record or use a big pen drive to do the same. I for one will be moving my dm500 out for these boxes from now on. It is worth a google for the info on these boxes. we have them running cccam now and it is very stable with the latest firmware that is out. and it has a proper HDMI socket not the DVI like the dm800. If anybody else has one of these boxes let me know what you think of them. It is a cheap as chips box with no bells and whistles at the moment but if you can get past the cheap and tacky menus you will be very happy with the picture quality.
