CHANGE A PASSOWRD FOR FTP LOGIN

Hi Guys

I have just flashed my box with someones backup image, they provided user name and password for FTP Login Details

I want to change the password to something I want, how can I reset the password

Use a dos command prog to telnet to the VU box.

Open command prompt or cmd.exe if you use Win 8.*

Type telnet 192.168.***.*** using the box IP and it will ask for the login. enter root
It will then ask for the password. enter the password and you are into the box image.
Type the letters passwd and press the enter button.
You will be asked to enter the new password twice but you will not see anything entered on the screen.
After you have entered the new password for the second time, you will get the message password changed. and Bobs your uncle.
