Cannot update rights/decrypt original C+.fr card

Can anyone help me find out why I cannot update the rights on my original French Canal+ card since 31-12-2009? I have a Vantage 7100HD with original firmware 2.57T-O and yes, the subscription is valid... The card is a 'second' card however (like standalone, without an agreed decoder) and I heard from C+ that there has some encyption changes for those cards - if this makes any sense. Any feedback is appreciated...

I guess updating to latest 2.58 firmware will do the trick then. Is that right?

It must soft alternative last digit 1.

I can only find Firmware+EMU 025501 on this forum. Should I look somewhere else? Any idea why the original firmware is not decrypting a valid card?

In my opinion 025501 is the latest stable emu.
