Berichten zufolge ist eine 1,8-m-Schüssel rund um die Uhr für den Empfang des Spotbeams von Astra 2E UK zuständig.

But iam sure he will get not all UK-Beams , maybe a few but not all!

Apologies for the bump a year later, but I'm back in the Gran Alacant area of Spain this week and would still be interested in trying a dish if anyone local has one to sell, or knows where to get one from. I've even packed my portable GTMedia finder so see what I can pull in! Just need a dish and I'm all good 😂

Hope you are enjoying the weather here and as you probably know by now........not the best time to receive the UK beam, until Octubre some of the frequencies/channels will have broken reception.
If possible a 1.8m would be an preferred minimum size dish, preferably an offset to help with any line of sight. A few kilometers will make a difference on reception with us being on fringe reception, you are a little further NE so may be some improvement. LNB skew absoluely vital re: the UK beam!
Attached shows reception on Octagon SF8008 with 1.8m PF, noting ITV3 HD (8.0dB with picture) is received stronger than ITV4 HD (6.5dB no picture)........ polarity another factor when on fringe!
Helps me at this time of the year with the backup of IPTV provision, Viark Sat 4K etc etc.

Still think you will gain info and a possible dish purchase as many local folk here are dumpimg dishes in favour of the IPTV route......just bought another 1.8m here for only €35. 🇪🇸

Whatever, good luck with your search and final choice/s. (y)

Thanks! 🙂 I've found a couple of local aerial/satellite places who I've messaged for a rough estimate too. Would be amazing if I can find a great deal like you got if anyone is gettibg rid of their old kit! 😍

Only had one quote from a local company so far. They said €300 for a 1.4m (which they said would be the minimum size required). Not sure if it's worth the gamble, and could be pricey if it barely pulls in a signal (or is too small completely?). Would be great if I could find a used one to play around with. Last time I was here, there was what looked like a 2.4 next to a skip. Annoying, it was fenced off in a building site, though...haha
