Greetings to all the forum, I wanted to ask you why on enigma2 I have continuous blocks on hd channels.
The decoder in my possession is a 910hd with Sharp STV0903 tuner.
Thank you and good day.

The Abcom/Cube Revo boxes are good boxes. They do a lot of things, that even more expensive boxes s.t. don´t. Using HDMI connection, the picture quality with free hdtv channels should be flawless and excellent on your tv set.

But Abcom/Cube revo boxes have problems with encrypted HDTV channels, especially with S*Y.
If you have a look at the descriptions of all downloadable images (enigma or not, official or alternative) for your box, you will always find this "encrypted hdtv problem" being described under "known issues". You won´t get rid of it. It could only be solved by the company.
Perhaps one day (I doubt it) they will find a way to write a firmware, which eliminates this problem.

Free HDTV channels should show up properly, though (Anixe, Arte HD, etc.)

If you experience problems with these free channels, you may of course have a chance to get rid of your box`s nasty behaviour.

You can try another firmware.
You can defrag your harddisk.
You can change harddisk 3.5 to 2.5. Notebook Harddisks don´t get that hot and then you don´t need the fan to be running, which might in few cases even be the reason for disturbances.
You can try to run your box without timeshift.
You can change tuner, if faulty (but in most cases it´s working as intended)
You can change to a better dish (if you got a small one)
You can send your box to your dealer for repair and so on.
Lots of ways

But, if you want flawless reception of encrypted hdtv - i´m sorry - you will have to buy another box or live with what you got.

greetings

Thanks for the tips ararat, like pacilius I also have problems with both encrypted and fta MPEG4 channels (not only HD)

picture quality is not the problem, if i'm tuned on a HD channel, it's perfect and may work for hours.

But sometimes the box gets completely freezed when i switch back to a SD one.

I'll be trying those tips, I'll be also changing my disceq switcher for a better one, but just in case the tuner is faulty, do you know if the DVB-S2 tuners for ipbox are the same ones as in DM800???

Not sure about the tuners - as far as I´ve read, they are different (but I may mistake this with dreambox 8000 tuners, which in fact are different.)

Your freezing picture could as well depend on faulty cooperation with hardware CAM (if you don´t use softcam) - connection lost. You could try if this gets better when you set your box to always shutdown instead of standby. Then the Ipbox will need more time to start, of course, but it will always check existing hardware on startup.
If this helps, edit your timer recordings as well to let the box shutdown after recordings.
