BCM4501 Twin-tuner chip, used in older DM8000HD
BCM4506 Twin-tuner chip, used in newer DM8000HD

BCM4505 Single-tuner chip, used in tuner modules that comes with DM800HDse and DM7020HD.
It should work in all Enigma2 Dreamboxes.

Read more at the Broadcom webpage.

Thanks Playa4Life,
So would using a BCM4506 Twin-tuner on a DM800se work?
Does the software support this to turn it into a mini DM8000?

What I can tell you is that the twin Tuners that I have in my DB 8000 (BCM 4501) are fixed on the mother board not Plug & play but I don't know if the newer version of DB8000(using BCM 4506) are plug & play or the fixed type.

BCM4501 and BCM4506 are not plug n' play tuners,
the chips and components are soldered to the DM8000HD mainboard.

We'll just have to wait for the DVB-S2 twin tuner from DMM.
DMM had brought a sample to ANGA-Cable this year.
I took some pictures of it :)
