Can I make a full backup image for my dm 500hd so if the worse happens i've got a copy on my computor, i know you could for the eagle box using dreamup.
I've got Dream-Elite Black Hole 1.0 installed at the mo, backed up using software management, but I would rather have my own nfi image, thanks

Does the 500 HD Dream Ellite image have Meo boot in the plugins list? If you can backup with that. Well maybe if you can somehow hook up a USB stick to it.

I have got external esata hdd working on dm500hd, can i make a backup image, i've got Dream Elite BH 1.1 Experimental DM500HD USB Multiboot on my box, and if so how.

Hi mate

As long as dream elite is in the flash.

Menu-Plugins then start Meo boot

When Meo Boot loads click the blue button for tools.

Select the backup image then the red button to back it up.

Note Meo boot will not backup the image in the flash. You'll need to use Barry Allen for that.

Ive downloaded barry allen plugin & sent to tmp and installed it, but it doesn't work, must be doing something wrong, have read the barry allen tutorials but cannot make head nor tail of them, what my ultimate goal is, is to make a backup image so when i'm messing and cock things up i can just restore image like i used to on my eagle box.

Looks as though the 500HD is not yet supported by BA, we are not getting very far with this are we.

Install this

Unrar FTP to the tmp folder

Green button then Yellow and install on the manual addons option

Then reboot and goto the plugin panel Menu-plugins

You should have a backup and restore option. You can backup you image there

Sorry to go on, but i had already tried this prior to posting.
When i execute the plugin it comes up box not found,my network is working fine & hdd recording without any problems, thanks Ferrett i'm sure i will get it sorted in the end.
