On usb i don't think so !
there is a modification using the power from scart socket, but much complicated.
Otherwise, simple disconnect the usb when you put in standy.

The easiest way is to fix a mini switch on the cable providing power ans simply switching it off.

I do not know if a script is available to power off the unit.

this is a very good idea, if you are lazy and dont want to move to turn off the switch, buy a switch with a remote control to power it off while you are relaxing on your soufa :) !!!

this is one example: lsusb -v | less

You should be able to power it off with:

echo "0" > /sys/bus/usb/devices/device/power/state

For example:

echo "0" > /sys/bus/usb/devices/6-0:1.0/power/state

I think it will be utile to have a plugin that control usb power to switch it on and off.

On my DM800, I have this configuration connected to an internal fan.
It is working all the time, but it is quite and is keeping the box cool.
So no complain.

Yes BM300 I know this modification but I use the scart to connect my headset throw a RCA modification so I cant connect fans there.

But you can my friend.
Connect the wires from inside the receiver.
You can still use the scart connecter in the normal way.

yes, but you get noise (electronic noise) from the fan !
And if you use headset, the noise is unbearable.
