Was given this receiver to try out for a few days as an option of a Low price HD receiver acting as a client to a ccam server.
After a few days I gave up totally disappointed. This receiver runs relatively well only on Oscam while the ccam plugin gives it a patched ccam emu which lucks miles from original ones.Very slow to respond.
Then tried Oscam as a client. That worked a bit better but when being served from a multi C line server it created problems to the server with ecm requests on all servers.
Having at home DM500, DM800 and a SkyboxS10 all running much smoother than this box on same server.
My suggestion for those seeking a low price HD receiver is the Skybox/Openbox which is cheaper and runs on CCam.

Im on a different opinion about Amiko 8900 HD , the picture quallity is Better than openbox and dm 500 hd .

I started testing E2 images and discovered it didnt support my languess in subtitels , then I went back to the Original Spark platform added Oscam #5959 and tested with my local card + C lines to freinds on some points it was faster than my othere recievers .

Hmm Oscam didnt read keyfiles , then I added Mcas + keydata.bin and discovered it even Opens Soft *** channels on 5E ( I have read about it should be open by Scam on dreambox , but I never got it working ) . Now I run Oscam + mcas simultainious = sc + key emu .
In my opinion amiko alen 8900 hd is better than dm 500 / 800 HD and openbox s9-10 HD

How many C lines you put in Oscam? It is faster but asks ecm's on all servers if using multiple C lines.
It does have fancier firmware than Skybox but no comparison to 800HD which has tremendous support.
Had this problem on Amiko and asked for help in 3-4 forums with absolutely NO help from anyone. If it was a DM800 problem I'm sure support would be there.
At this price range Skybox is much better and stable

agreed in everything by 100%

i tested both, shd8900 and alien2 triplex box, despite they have different models of cpu( of the same sh4 family) i found them to be identical in behaviour.
slow response to all servers i tried, including a mgcamd server which was a bit faster though than the CCcam ones, but generally compared to any dreambox this box is a turtle.

i m disappointed at the time but i think it will be better after a few SPARK and E2 updates, all problems are due to software, i think also that emulators need to be recompiled again in order to operate good in these boxes.
These boxes are good and anyway better than DM500HD and DM800HD, and they deserve better support both from spark and e2 developers.
