Advice please RS-323 vs. USB

I have only ever worked with a null modem cable.

Can someone tell me, if I buy a Technomate 5400 CI/USB super can I do everything with a USB memory stick that I can do with the RS-232 serial cable?

i.e. can I load Firmware, Keys and Channels via the USB?

yes mate all can be done from the usb port, press menu enter password 0000 then go down to usb and then data transfer.
