Good evening to all users ,
For an apartment located in a snowy area in the mountains I realized a system to retract the dish under the roof out of sight during my absence to avoid arguments with other co-owners of the building and snow problems in Winter-time .
The main components are ;
1) The lower part of a polar-mount attached to the inner roof ,
2) An iron tube 6x100 cm.,
3) A Stab motor HH100 ,
4) A 90 cm offset dish with folding lnb arm support ,
5) Two large magnets (ex woofer) to keep the tube vertically , adjusted to permit easy detachment ,
6) A 4 mt nylon rope sliding into 6 pulleys to reduce lifting strain .
The system is easier to handle than it seems and I enjoy receiving most of Sat Tp from 42°E to 43°W .
