Should this entire file be copied into the softcam key?

No the Softcam.key is separate and you can transfer it as is but first just rename as Softcam.key .
Good luck .

I've never managed to get the 9E channels working with my configuration. I'm clearly doing something stupid, so wonder if anyone can help out? My current setup is just a softcam.server that works with BISS. I have two Oscam's set up - but only 'oscam-emu' is selected and ticked in the menu. I also have 'oscam-latest' installed which I don't currently use. The weird thing is, rather than being in the 'oscam-emu' folder, my working oscam.server and config files are actually in the main 'config' folder. (etc/tuxbox/config) The below oscam.server settings work fine for BISS channels...

[reader]
label = biss
protocol = constcw
device = /usr/keys/constant.cw
caid = 2600
group = 1
However, when I add the extra reader that was posted above, it 'breaks' BISS and still doesn't do anything with the PV channels at 9E. I've updated the SoftCam.Key to the most recent, so don't think that is the issue.

Quite happy to delete everything from the config folder and start from scratch if anyone has working files/settings that I could FTP to the box.

My current folder structure looks like this:

- config (folder, containing oscam-emu and oscam-latest folders, plus the following files)
--- oscam.ccache
--- oscam.conf
--- oscam.provid
--- oscam.server
--- oscam.srvid2
--- oscam.user

- oscam-emu (folder contains the following files)
--- oscam.conf
--- oscam.dvbapi
--- oscam.server
--- oscam.user

- oscam-latest (folder contains the following files))
--- oscam.conf
--- oscam.dvbapi
--- oscam.server
--- oscam.user

Happy to upload the contents of the folders somewhere, if there is a forum-approved place to do so. I'm sure it's a simple fix for someone, but I've given up pulling my haair out with it...haha

But for now, below are the current settings for all the files (not folders) in my tuxbox config folder:

You need to create a reader with the emu protocol
I thought maumixio's file that he posted above did have that included? Didn't work for me when I tried it though. Below is what that contained.

Sorry, I'm not sure how I would create my own. I've previoisly only just copied the text from other forum members links in the past.

[reader]
label = emu-afn
protocol = emu
device = emulator
services = afn
disablecrccws_only_for = 0E00:000000
caid = 0E00
detect = cd
ident = 0E00:000000
group = 1
emmcache = 2,1,2,1
emu_auproviders = 0E00:000000

If Oscam is compiled with EMU, reader should work, even if you deprive yourself of other systems that support EMU.

with ncam the keys update by itself, wait 5 minutes
Do you happen to know where I can find a step to step guide on installing and configuring NCam? The automatic updating sounds cool. I've only ever used Oscam before. If they can work alongside each other, I'd be happy to keep using Oscam for BISS and NCam for PV at 9e

It is not necessary to use two softcams, both can do the same thing

Just install the ncam, nothing to configure
Just installed it, and it's working! Thank you!
One thing I did notice, though, is that it seems to now be using the SoftCam.key that's inside the Tuxbox folder, rather than the one in the Usr/Keys folder. Is that normal?

with ATV the softam is in etc/tuxbox/config
Ok, cool. That's where mine also seems to be using an Openvix image. The Oscam I was previously using was looking for a SoftCam.key in Usr/Keys, but it's not an issue. I just need to remember not to use the previous one. Happy it's all working now!

LiveLog shows where oscam is looking for keys

The startup script specifies the configuration directory

You can also see him in oscam
