I ask that question because so far anything I ask on here never gets a reply I wonder if this will be the first?
I have a VUduo 4k and it claims to be able to record up to eight things at a time, In the tuner setup window it shows eight tuners, yet the other day I was recording two things at once and I couldn't watch anything live as it said no tuners available?
So Am I doing something wrong or is it just lies?

If its the same as my Technomate TM7102 (3 Tuners, Ku-Band, C-Band & Terrestrial), I can set a timer to record something from each of the tuners and it can get awkward about being able to watch a different channel whilst recording.

So you should be able to record as many channels as it says setting timer record, but if you set up 7 timers and try and watch something whilst its recording you might not be able to.

Which is a Software/Firmware issue.
Not a Hardware tuner/s issue.

Do you use other forums?

Why would you think "Is there any point in asking?" is an appropriate subject heading to use for this question? Make your subject headings more obvious and you may get more replies. I am changing the subject heading to "VUduo 4k: Issues when trying to record up to eight things at a time, anybody else? any solution?" which gives a better idea regarding what your post is about.

I think it depends wich settings and satellites you use.I think with Unicable you can make 8 recordings on different transponders.
Look in the wiki of the german VU-Forum for more info about tuner settings.
