Have you pushed the audio button on the remote to try a different audio type?

If you press the red button, which is the 'audio' button, you will see what languages are available.
Select the one you want then press ok, then exit.

I think the sat 4k has its own audio button its located under the red button. I've tried uploading a picture here but I'm not sure where the attachment button is.

Well i've just look at rtl hd, Orf1 hd, and sat 1 hd and i can see no issues. I don't understand any off it and the audio button only brings up dolby d german. From the menu screem push ok to select the channel and then press exit to exit the menu. Or push ok twice.

Maybe he should look at his settings again, or perhaps reinstall the firmware for his receiver.
If it was affecting all channels, I would suggest making sure the ends of the HDMI lead are fully inserted.

I think the problem is that we don't really understand what the issue is. I've tried those channels and it all seems fine. Maybe he can take a video and make it available via wetransfer or something like that so we can see what the problem is.

How to update and download firmware

Instructions for correct firmware update for Viark Sat:

1.- Insert into the USB stick, which must be formatted in FAT 32, the firmware you downloaded earlier.

2.- Insert the USB stick into the Viark decoder.

3.-Using the control, click the Menu key.

4.- When you enter the main menu, you will see several options such as: installation, channels, configuration, among others; go to the Net & Games section and click OK.

5.- Once inside Net & Games, place yourself on the USB and click OK.

6.- Then you can see a list of options, you will select the one that matches the software, find the firmware you are going to update and click OK.

7.- When you finally manage to complete the previous steps, it will ask you if you are sure to update, click OK and the download process will instantly begin.

8.- You can enjoy your software when the download is complete, but remember that you must not disable it during this process. Once the download is complete, deco will reboot and you will have the firmware installed on your Viark Sat.

Reserved channel list

To backup your channel list (Backup), you will need a Fat32 formatted USB stick. You will connect it to one of the two USB ports supplied with your Viark Sat satellite receiver.

On the remote, you'll press the Menu key, then Net & Games, then USB. After that, you will press the Sat button on the remote control and the number 1113. You will select OK so that the backup is already saved in SDX format on our USB.

Updates on channels

1.- Copy the list of channels you downloaded earlier to a USB device.

2.- Insert the USB, it should be formatted as sat 32, into one of the ports on your satellite receiver.

3.- Press the Menu key from the controller, then you will find a lot of options, you will press Installation located on the top left corner of the main menu.

4.- When you enter the installation menu, you will select the USB option.

5.- After you finish with the previous step, a window will appear informing you that you must download the list from USB, find your channel list on your USB drive, when you have already found it, click "OK".

6.-Finally, a window will pop up asking if you want to update the channel list, select "OK" and wait for it to update. At the end, you can enjoy the already loaded channel list.
Hi,

Complete newbie too this, will be setting up a Viark Sat 4K box later today. I just have a few questions as I don’t want to brick my box.

Is it just a case downloading the firmware and updating it via usb?
Is there an option on the menu to update it from the usb, and will any usb drive do or are there specific sizes and brands?
Finally, do I need to reset it to factory settings first or can I just go ahead and update the firmware?

Hi guys Im a complete newbie to this.
Im planning to buy a Vark Sat 4K without a build in forever server and to add it myself. Is it possible to add the forever server, if so in what way? I wanted to say that I'm also interested in the purchase of SP1. Is it posible to achieve this on a receiver without the forever server or do you need to buy a r Viark receiver with a build in one?
Thanks for all your answers in advance ??

If its a new box it comes as FTA once you flash the 1.14 version firmware it activates the forever server. This wont have SP1.

We can not advise on who to use for SP1 upgrades, youll need to google to find that info.

One more question.
What's the best way to instal 1.14 firmware ??
Do I need to download it to an usb stick and then install it on my viark receiver or is there an easier way to do it ??
