Exactly this one : 3.07 dated 07/11/2022 (update to Forever 139)
This is the latest firmware available for this device at the moment.
The only thing I can do is wait for a possible update to 140
If that happened than my 28€ will be not wasted.
In the meantime ......are so fuc**** wasted
But the only thing that pi$$ed me alot in whole story this evening is a fact that resellers doesn't give a sh** to advice : hey dear costumer: according to your device and your firmware limitation there is no need to purchase this SP1 code.
You will get NOTHING that justify your purchase

2. Does a receiver have to be bought in europe or outside europe to work in the uk ??
I'm only intrested in Sly DE and Sly UK no VIP

Personally I remain on my idea and I'm enough sure if I update one year more of forever on the old viark it will get "device is in europe" info.
But this is only to sketch out the complete picture.
This recent continental split could simply be intended to offer better services to users depending on the location where they live and I think the concept of "Europe" too is in the end too vague, because surely conteins many ecceptions
The only doubt I have, it's about the possibility to take back an European located box to the original status: because it's really possible it will remain marked as European even though you take it in another extra continental region and recharge it with the standard code.
But as it says, we'll discover it, just living it

The receiver is a Geant OTT 750 4K Allure which I think came from Tunisia.
The receiver is now in the UK without any VPN in place, the charging system info below is based on this.
It is running software version 4.0.6 dated Nov 8 2022 and the server type is ForeverPro IM 140 which expired recently.

Looking to the info such geant is been charged last time with forever just a year ago (now recently expired)
All my boxes, charged during 2022 present the voice "device in Europe".
(While my older viark combo expired more than a year ago, has a same info of this quoted geant)
From what I noticed: if forever is still active is important the place where the box has been activated the first time.
Elsewhere the date of the last recharge, the place and the kind of forever recharge.

A1.No not Sly UK sports channels are working at the moment just sly sports no bee tee sport as of right now, & they are very stable the channels that are open.... in terms of Sly DE yes its open and very stable.

No I believe it doesn't matter where the receiver comes from mine came from the middle east & I'm using SP1 no problem. as I believe when you hook it up it recognises from your Ip address that you are in Europe/UK .... you could also just update the software that's what I did as your device’s share name Must include .IM and use super Card_NO SP1 or SP2,you will have Sky-DE and Sky-UK .....
(SP1 = JUST Sat)
(SP2 = Sat + Ipee tevee

I have an ISP router from a UK broadband provider and a spare Netgear router not in use.
If I understand the process correctly, to get a VPN operational at the router level I should configure the Netgear router with the VPN and connect it between the satellite receiver and the ISP router, is that correct?
How does the Netgear router get broadband from the ISP router, do I just connect them together via Gigabit ports with an ethernet cable or do I need to configure the Netgear router as an access point or something like that?
For zero cost it might be worth trying out in order to mask the true geographic location of the satellite receiver before purchasing any packages?

Youll need to name both your ISP's router and the model number of the netgear for anyone to advice.
I use a netgear r7800 flashed with openwrt instead of my ISP router on BT fibre then you could use openvpn or wireguard for example
You may be able to flash your netgear router
I have never used a supplied ISP router openwrt is very easy to setup or you could use pihole

The ISP router is a BT Smart Hub and the spare router is a Netgear R6300
If it is possible, I would hope to use the Netgear 6300 only for the satellite receiver and leave the BT Smart Hub with its factory configuration.
This makes sense and would suggest the following...
If you buy your receiver outside of Europe, then request the seller or sender to install and activate
the Forever Server prior to shipping. This would be advantageous if the sender/seller is located
in the Middle East/Africa.
So if it takes a few weeks to arrive in Europe, you lose two weeks subscription, but so what.
Once you connect it all up and with no VPN, the charging system may think your box is not
in europe and thus permit a VIP registration.
My guess is...if you want VIP, then get box from Middle East/Africa with Forever already activated.

I get it and understand what you are alluding to.
I was just trying to highlight that if a person is committed to getting the
VIP option then they likely have to go the route I described and can't rely
on buying an unpatched box, then doing it themselves in Europe.
It's just a thought and I could be wrong mate.
