It carries Eng audio 99% of the time no need for bein sport comms

Originally it came with no server, then they offered two years server but you have to pay for sp1, but now the other viarks do not need sp1 for the uk channels so hopefully you would be ok with a new machine and the server that comes with it. I am sure others may be able to confirm.

What about recording ? Can a ssd be inserted or a usb hard drive needed?

USB Hard drives do work powered ones are better, i just use a 256gb usb stick

you loose nothing New Viark Sat 4K its with 3 years S*y DE not 2 years only plug & play and load latest PT 1.21 Software file

The 4k is a solid performer no real bugs.

The Dual development is coming on now but there are reasons why i choose to use the 4k over the dual.

Recording although working most of the time on the dual is not as reliable as the 4k from standby.
Blind scan is much better on the 4k
Satellite motor positioning is better well faultless on the 4k.

The Dual has many advantages, though. A couple below.
Android so the use of Android app for a all-in-one solution.
Enigma2 4 slots to play with and the E2 side is a solid performer.

Ferret can you share your 4k recording menue setup ? I can only record the live programs at the moment, does the recording facility on the epg work ? I'm getting something miserably wrong

Sound us that the same for Sky UK , straight out the box 3yrs with PT 1.21 , what a bout the IPTV side is that when you loose a year.
